OPEN POSITION: Technical Lead

Compensation + Equity + Founder Title

We are a fast-growing tech startup in the food space looking for a Technical Lead/CTO who is ready to join our founding team.  We are looking for a highly-motivated and skilled individual to lead the effort in the maintenance, development and further innovation of our technical stack, which includes our consumer and client-facing mobile applications and website, our internal and external API, and our proprietary admin-facing CMS.  You will be joining a team comprised of years of experience in UI, UX design, branding, marketing, operations/business execution, and business dev/growth. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company with a consumer-driven product, seeking to disrupt the commercial food space and create a sustainable solution for the daily ‘dinner dilemma’. Candidates must be passionate about building a company and be comfortable and excited about the day-to-day challenges inherent in an early-stage startup.

Duties of CTO:

  • Develop mobile front end interfaces using Ionic2, Angular, Node.js, Javascript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap, AJAX, REST, JSON
  • Git – must be familiar with Git, and have worked with Pull Requests / Code Review workflow (version control)
  • Experience programming in SQL Relational Databases (SQL-Server, Oracle, MySQL) and a good working knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Management Studio
  • Experience with non-relational databases, preferably Google Firebase
  • Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices (e.g. Agile software development, test-driven development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, etc…)
  • Experience preferred with Ionic Framework and hybrid mobile applications
  • Work with product designers and contribute to best in class user experience
  • Build cross-browser / cross-device compatible UI
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

Requirements:

  • Expert experience with AngularJS (version 2 preferred), Javascript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, AJAX, REST, JSON
  • 3+ years of experience developing Web based applications
  • 3+ years of development experience with HTML, XML, JavaScript and CSS
  • 1+ years of experience programming in SQL Relational Databases (SQL-Server, Oracle, MySQL) and a good working knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Management Studio
  • 1+ years of experience with WebAPI or similar SOA frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience with responsive web design, HTML5, Bootstrap
  • Knowledge of developing mobile applications with Ionic Framework and/or Apache Cordova
  • Detail oriented with an appreciation for clean code
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience as past business owner or role in startup environment is a plus

OPEN POSITION: Acquisition Marketing Specialist

(aka VP of Growth Hacking) Salaried Position

We are looking for a hands-on and highly motivated Acquisition Marketing Specialist to join our startup team. In this role, you will apply your analytical expertise and creative problem solving to help develop strategies and implement critical programs to drive app downloads and customer acquisition.  Growth Hacky skills and mindset is desired.

Looking for individuals with winning personality who are hungry for success (pun intended).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define the acquisition strategy for both traditional (TV, Radio) and online (search, mobile, paid social, display) channels to maximize subscriber growth, ROI and Customer Lifetime Value
  • Monitor, test, and improve performance across all acquisition channels, providing actionable recommendations to maximize KPIs.
  • Stay up to date with the an ever-changing industry to evaluate and identify new partners, technology, and ad distribution networks.
  • Management of social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, Twitter, Pinterest
  • Monitor & manage email marketing campaigns, strategy, segmentation, and automation build out.
  • Provide strategic and messaging direction to brand ambassador teams for optimizing customer acquisition at live events

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: BA or BS degree; engineering or tech emphasis a plus
  • Experience: 3+ years performance / acquisition marketing experience in ecommerce, preferably with a technology company based on a marketplace model
  • Experienced and skilled with email marketing platform Mailchimp
  • Experience with paid advertising platforms, such as Facebook Ads and/or Google Adwords  
  • Basic graphic design skills for generation of creatives, via Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

$15-$20 / Hr + Commission

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to communicate comfortably and eloquently with customers
  • Highly organized and disciplined with time management and agenda setting
  • Ability to self-educate and be trained on DishDivvy processes, mission, values, products, etc.
  • Team player who is willing to constantly learn and improve
  • Communicate to executive team daily, weekly, and monthly goals and progress tracking
  • Desire to work hard to win, and grow the business

Your Job will include but is not limited to:

  • Identifying and setting up appointments with local businesses to generate strategic relationships within the community and increase company’s brand awareness
  • Inputting leads, along with status, into company CRM tool
  • Picking up products, such as fresh meals from DishDivvy cooks, to sample at promotional events and booths
  • Promoting products and services at specific booth events, including company’s partner locations
  • Transporting equipment to and from events and fairs; Caring for all equipment
  • Standing or sitting for up to 4 hours at a time

Requirements & Skills:

  • Sales or customer service: 1 year
  • High School Graduate
  • Have your own reliable form of transportation
  • Ability to work up to 20 hours a week, some weekends
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus!
  • Tech savviness is a big plus! (Must own a smartphone and able to download DishDivvy app for demonstrations to potential customers)
